1. Name change - FROM Independent Study in Safety Education TO Independent Study

The course is not limited to topics in safety education. In fact, most frequently addressed topics are not related to safety education, but to areas of occupational and environmental safety.

B. Change in grade basis: FROM: satisfactory/no credit TO: grade basis

The course was previously offered in a grade basis. The department requested the change to satisfactory/no credit basis but over time the perception has been that this led to a decrease in the overall quality of student work. We therefore request the removal of the satisfactory/no credit stipulation.
