Proposal:

Continuation of PSYCH 446/646 Introduction to Clinical Psychology

Rationale: We have not been able to offer this course in the past three years because of the need to dedicate faculty FTE to covering General Education courses (Individual and Society and Introductory Psychology). Also, one of our faculty members who is eligible to teach the course has become the department chair, thus curtailing our ability to offer our full range of clinically-related courses. This year we hired a new faculty member who would be able to assist in covering these courses therefore we expect to be able to offer Introduction to Clinical Psychology more regularly in the future. There is a strong demand for the course when it is offered, as most of our graduate-school-bound majors are interested in careers as clinical psychologists.
