Course Description
FROM:
A study of the thermodynamic systems, equations of state, work, first,
second, and third laws of thermodynamics, the combined first and second
laws and applications. Three one-hour lectures per week.
TO:
A study in thermodynamics and statistical mechanics including the laws
of classical thermodynamics, equations of state, thermodynamical processes,
and applications to classical and quantum mechanical systems. Three one-hour
lectures per week.
Justification for Action
The changes are a modernization and better describe the current content
of the course.
