II.  Relationship to mission and strategic plan of institution, and/or College/Department goals and objectives
The change improves and clarifies the requirements for the Minor.

III.  Rationale
We request the number of credits required for an Economics Minor be increased from 20 credits to 21 credits. Currently, all courses are 3 credits (with the exception of ECON 324 – Cooperatives). Therefore students typically need 21 credits anyway to obtain the Minor. Increasing the number of credits more closely reflects the actual requirements.

There are no foreseen cost implications.
