  1. Exact description of request
    1. Change the statement on p. 104 of undergraduate bulletin (before INTERDEPARTMENTAL).

      FROM:
Electives to bring the total to a minimum of 120 (121 for computer end-user technologies major) credits with a minimum of 60 credits outside the College of Business and Economics (61 credits for computer end-user technologies major).
      TO:
Electives to bring the total to a minimum of 120 credits with a minimum of 60 credits outside the College of Business and Economics.

  2. Relationship to mission and strategic plan of institution, and/or College/Department goals and objectives
    1.
Reduces the number of credits to degree. Therefore, a more efficient program results.

  3. Rationale
    1.
With the elimination of calculus as a requirement in the CEUT major and the reduction in the general education requirements, the CEUT major can meet all program requirements with 120 credits—rather than 121 credits now required. The change will result in 60 rather than 61 credits being required outside of the College of Business & Economics. The latter category can include twelve credits of economics course work.

  4. Cost implications
    1.
Occasionally a student falls short one credit and the Department provides an independent study for that student. Ideally, since 60 credits have to be taken outside the college and 60 credits in the college, the students will be able to avoid being one credit short.
