Justification of the change
Geology 101 was developed in spring/00 in response to the change in the laboratory science requirement from 5 cr to 4 cr. Geology 100 and Geology 101 cover much of the same material; students should not receive credit for both courses. The possibility that a student could potentially take both courses for credit was not recognized at the time Geology 101 was developed.
