JUSTIFICATION FOR ACTION
This title change is in line with the recommendation
provided to the POM faculty in consultations with the POM Advisory Board
(consisting of over 20 industry members), other practitioners and academics
from other universities involved in applied research in the POM area. The
Advisory Board stressed the importance of integrated resource management
as part of today’s operations. The curricular action provides a more up-to-date
course title that accurately reflects course content, indicates the main
emphases of the course and incorporates Advisory Board recommendations.
