Professional experience in which the student who aspires to a career in mass communication, works for an approved employer engaged in broadcasting, print communication, advertising or public relations. (A maximum of three credits of Internship may be applied to toward a Journalism major; a maximum of two credits may be applied toward a Journalism minor.)
Prereq: 166-131, 164-243, 164-244 (or their equiv.), plus cons instr.

Separate and unique prerequisites have been established for the advertising internship. The GPA requirement will provide more realistic assurance that prospective interns have the skills and knowledge expected in most internship settings.
