II.      Justification

Prerequisite change:
In 1997, we changed from Prereq 372 to Coreq 372 in order to expedite students’ progress toward graduation. Review of the results suggests that students do not actually build upon previous knowledge when Practice II and Practice III are taken at the same time.

Number change:
Social Work Practice III should ideally be taken the semester immediately before the field experience. It is hoped that the renumbering will influence students to wait to take Practice III until their last semester of classes.
