Promotion to Professor
To be eligible to apply for promotion to Professor, faculty members must hold an earned terminal degree in the areas of specialization (e.g., Ph.D., M.F.A. in studio art), have at least ten years of full-time college or university teaching (or other appropriate experience), and a minimum of three years in the rank of associate professor before the effective date of the potential promotion to the rank of professor (Section III, H, 1, d). For promotion, the faculty member must meet all department, college, and university standards.
Notification of the review meeting will use the format outlined in the Sample Notice of Review.
