  3. Political Science
    1. New Course POLISCI 101 "Introduction to Political Science."  (Introduction to Political Science introduces students to the specialties within political science, outlines the academic emphases within the major and associated requirements, and explores public and private sector opportunities in the field of political science).
    2. New Course POLISCI 302 "Writing in Political Science."  (This course will allow students to improve their analytical and writing skills through various writing assignments involving different formats. Some of the assignments will involve multiple drafts, based on peer and instructor feedback).
    3. Change in the Political Science BA/BS. (Add POLISCI 101 as a required course.  Add POLISCI 302 as a required course.  Change the number of required 300/400 level electives from two courses to one course.  Delete the writing requirement milestone (because PoliSci 302 is replacing the milestone)
    4. Change in the Political Science BA/BS Honors Emphasis.  (Add POLISCI 101 as a required course.  Add POLISCI 302 as a required course.  Delete the elective requirement (#9).  Delete the writing requirement milestone (because PoliSci 302 is replacing the milestone).
    5. Change in the Political Science BSE(Add POLISCI 101 as a required course.  Add POLISCI 302 as a required course.  Change the number of required 300/400 level electives from two courses to one course.  Delete the writing requirement milestone (because PoliSci 302 is replacing the milestone).
  4. Chemistry
    1. Change grade basis for CHEM 150(Change the grade basis of this course to allow students to take it as S/NC or for a letter grade).

    1. Change in the World Religions Minor(Adds RELIGST 304 Contemporary Islamic Thought and Practice to the World Religions Minor as an elective).
  6. Discussion on establishing a definition of  "a liberal arts" education.
