At its meeting on Thursday, Sept.8, 2005, the Letters & Sciences Curriculum Committee approved the propsals listed below.  These proposals are being forwarded to the UCC for its action or information.   The signature pages will be sent to you shortly.

1.  Foreign Languages

  1. New Courses:
  1. FORNLANG 111 Beginning Arabic I
  2. FORNLANG 112 Beginning Arabic 
  3. FORNLANG 211 Intermediate Arabic I
  4. FORNLANG 212 Intermediate Arabic II

2.   Informational Items
  1. Changes to the following Political Science  major and submajors
    1. Public Policy and Administration major.

  2. Cross list  AFRIAMR 141 and HISTRY 141
  3. Number change and cross-list WOMENST 360 Women, Science and Society. Change to WOMENST/HISTRY 365 Women, Science and Society.
  4. Other Curricular Action:  Remove ANTHROPL 694 from Approved Women's Studies courses in other departments.
