SUB: Proposals approved at the L&S Curriculum Committee Meeting Sept. 2, 2004

At its electronic meeting on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, the Letters & Sciences Curriculum Committee approved the propsals listed below.  These proposals are being forwarded to the UCC for its action or information.   The signature pages will be sent to you shortly.  The MCS proposals are going throught the College of Business Curriculum Committee this week and when they have signed off on them, Larry Schuetz and Dean Ross will need to sign off.  We will then send the signature pages to you.  Hopefully, this will all happen by your meeting on the 17th.

  1. Chemistry
    1. Change in number for the "Science and Technology in Society" course from LSINDP 150 to CHEM 150..
       
  2. Geography and Geology
    1. Change in the Geography "Environmental Studies Minor."

    1. Change in prerequisite for the following MCS courses:
      1. MCS 214 Information Technology Concepts and Practice
      2. MCS 314 Advanced Database Design and Administration
      3. MCS 485 Project
      4. MCS 496 Special Studies
