College of Letters and Sciences Meeting of February 17, 2005

Sahyun, Anne Hamilton,Meg Waraczynski, Jim Winship, Tom Schweigert,
Debra Heiber and Larry Schuetz ( Chair).
The minutes of the February 3, 2005 meeting
were approved as distributed.
Announcements: The Chair reminded the committe that April
6 is the deadline for getting new courses approved for Spring 2006. This
is the UCC deadline. Therefore the deadline for the L&S Curriculum
Committee is March 9, 2005. Our first meeting in April is the
7th (after the UCC deadline). Larry also strongly encouraged departments
wishing to make changs to courses or programs for the next catalog, to get
them submitted to the L&S Curriculum Committee by the April 7th meeting.
Waraczynski/Kleinfeld moved to approve the new Psychology
course PSYCH
724, "Learning in Educational Contexts." The motion
passed unanimously.
Sahyun /Kleinfeld moved to approve the prerequisite change
for PHYSCS
212 "Physics for Elementary Teachers." The motion passed
unanimously.
Waraczynski/Hamilton moved to approve the change in MSE: School Psychology.
The motion passed unanimously.
