    3. Election of  2 UCC Representatives.  Phil Johns and Anne Hamilton's terms expire at the end of this semester. This item was tabled at the last meeting.
    4. History

      1. New course HISTRY 422/622 "Great Trials in History" (This course explores major themes in the history of Western European and to a lesser extent the United States’ legal institutions and legal cultures from ancient Greece to modern times. It examines the social, political, legal, cultural and intellectual assumptions that shaped the great trials of the western historical tradition through intensive reading and discussion of both original historical evidence and modern interpretation).
      2. Change in the following History Majors:
        1. History Major 
        2. History Secondary Education Major
        3. History Public History Emphasis
        4. History with Social Studies Emphasis
(These revisions make clearer the application of courses to required areas and simplifies the AR).

(Updates course lists to add new courses to this interdisciplinary major [most of which have been developed by the respective departments since the Liberal Studies majors were originally approved]).

      1. New Sociology major emphasis  "Sociology: Comparative Studies Emphasis."  (This emphasis was withdrawn from the last meeting agenda after it was decided that the programs and depts. consulted did not have enough time to look at the proposal).

    2. MATH 149 "Mathematics for the Elementary Teacher II ( FROM Prereq:  Satisfactory completion of MATH 111 with a grade of C or better. TO Prereq: Satisfactory completion of MATH 148 with a grade of C or better).
