During its meeting on September 4, 2003, the College of Letters & Sciences Curriculum Committee approved the proposals listed below.  They are being forwarded to you for your action or information.

    1. Chemistry
      1. Change in the Chemistry BSE major.
    2. History
      1. Deletion of Social Studies with History BSE Emphasis
      2. Change in the following History majors and submajors:
        1. History BSE
        2. History Major with Social Studies Emphasis
        3. History Minor - Elementary Education Emphasis
        4. History Minor - Secondary Education Emphasis
    3. Mathematics and Computer Science
      1. Prerequisite changee for the follwoing Math courses:
        1. MATH 415/515 Modern Algebra and Number Theory for the Elementary Teacher
        2. MATH 416/616 Geometry for the Elementary Teacher
      2. Delete the follwoing Math submajors:
        1. Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Broadfield
        2. Applied Mathematics of Earth Systems and Space Sciences Broadfield
      3. Change in the Math submajor, "Mathematics: Elementary Education Emphasis"
      4. Deletion of Computer Science Education Emphasis
