Meeting of March 22, 2001


PRESENT: Stephen Solheim, Philip Johns, Elaine Johnson, Frank Luther, Nikki Mandell (Rep. Anthony Gulig), Jonathan Kane, David Cartwright, Frank Stekel, Meg Waraczynski, Richard Salem, Jeff Heinrich, Debra Heiber, Brooke Sdano (DAC Rep.) and Larry Schuetz (Chair).
  1. The minutes of the March 8, 2001 meeting were approved as distributed.

  2. Announcements: The Chair announced that the next meeting (April 5 ) is the last meeting in which a proposal can make it through the curricular process before the end of the academic year.  It is also the deadline for proposals for new courses to be offered in Spring 2002.

  3. Mandell/Waraczynski moved to approve the prerequisite changes for the History courses, 740-324 American Indian History  and 740-403 History of the American West .  The motion passed unanimously.

    4.  
  4. Stekel/Cartwright moved to approve the Physics Emphasis/Track, "Physics Major - Engineering Emphasis".  After some discussion the motion passed unanimously.
