    1. A.  New Course:  740-434 Social History of Japan.  (The course, 740-433 20th Century Japan, deals primarily with topics such as intrusion of the West, the adoption of Western style constitutional government, rapitd industrialization, the emergence of Japanese imperialism and militarism the Great Pacific War, the impact of occupation and the emergence of Japan as a world economic power.  This new course would expand on the consequences of those events on the Japanese people).
  2. Women's Studies
    1. A.  Change in Women's Studies Major.  (Removing the History course, 740-315 Women in American History, from Section 6 of the Major and replacing it with the History courses 740-313 Women in American History 1600-1875 and 740-314 Women in American History 1875 to Present)
  3. Mathematics & Computer Science
    1. A.  Change in prerequisites for the following courses:
      1. 765-171 Introduction to Programming
      2. 765-172 Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming in Java
      3. 765-381 JavaScript and DHTML
      4. 765-382 Perl and CGI Scripting
      B.  Change in Minor "Minor in Web Site Programming and Administration
      C.  Change in Certificate Program " Certificate in Web Site Programming and Administration
      (The above changes reflect the restructuring of the Minor "Minor in Web Site Programming and Administration" and the companion Certificate.  Both the Minor and Certificate did not pass the UCC in their original form).
