Meeting of March 8, 2001


PRESENT: Stephen Solheim, Philip Johns, Elaine Johnson, Frank Luther, Anthony Gulig, Michael Longrie, Jonathan Kane, David Cartwright, Frank Stekel, Meg Waraczynski, Jim Winship, Richard Salem, Mary Emery, Jeff Heinrich, Debra Heiber, Brooke Sdano (DAC Rep.) and Larry Schuetz (Chair).
  1. The minutes of the February 22, 2001 meeting were approved as distributed.

  3. Announcements: None

  5. Gulig/Winship moved to approve the New History Course, 740-434 Social History of Japan.  The motion passed unanimously.

  7. Emery/Winship moved to approve the change in the Women's Studies Major to delete the History course, 740-315 Women in American History, from Section 6 of the Major and replace it with the History courses 740-313 Women in American History 1600-1875 and 740-314 Women in American History 1875 to Present.  The motion passed unanimously.

  9. Kane/Winship moved to approve the change in prerequisites for the following courses:
    1. 765-171 Introduction to Programming
    2. 765-172 Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming in Java
    The motion passed unanimously.
     
  10. Kane/Salem moved to approve the change in prerequisites for the following courses:
    1. 765-381 JavaScript and DHTML
    2. 765-382 Perl and CGI Scripting
    and the revision of the Minor "Minor in Web Site Programming and Administration
    and the revision of the Certificate Program " Certificate in Web Site Programming and Administration.
    The motion passed with 2 "NO" votes and 2 "Abstentions."
