Requisite change for 740-125 History of Modern America FROM: Unreq: 900-120 TO: None (Recent content changes in 900-120 U.S. Experience in a World Context make it substantially different from 740-125, History of Modern America. Therefore, students should be able to receive credit for both courses).

    1. Requisite change for 900-120 U.S. Experience in a World Context FROM: Unreq: 740-125 and 740-105 TO: Unreq. 740-105. (See above for explanation).

        B. New Major Emphasis
      Mathematics - Computer Emphasis
      (The Math & Computer Science Dept. created this emphasis for math majors who wish to prepare for a career in Computer Science until a Major in Computer Science can be developed and approved. It is felt that the emphasis will be a nice compliment to the future Compute Science major. The new courses listed above are designed for this emphasis).

        D. New Emphasis/Tract: Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Broadfield.
      (This program is designed to prepare students for careers in industry, government, or university research settings where there is a need for the creation of computer programs to solve applied problems of a mathematical nature. The above new courses are designed for this emphasis).
