The first item of discussion was the credit resolution language.
The committee recommended putting this piece in the Schedule of Classes
and the Catalog. Larry Schuetz asked Dan Edlebeck to determine where
the credit resolution language should appear in these two publications.
For the next meeting the committee will review the language used in the
System statement, in the statement approved by the UCC that was sent to
the Faculty Senate, in the statements submitted by George Ferencz, and
in the statement submitted by Larry Schuetz.
Larry Schuetz mentioned an issue that was brought up in the College
of Letters and Sciences regarding referencing the bibliography at the end
of a syllabus. The questions was raised as to whether the * is still
needed on the bibliography for items that are in the library since there
is now interlibrary loan, electronic reserve, and access to resources via
the Internet. The committee will discuss this at the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:50 p.m.on a Wilfred Tremblay/Anne Hamilton
motion.
Respectfully submitted,
Leslie Meyer
