Roxanne DePaul discussed the Honors Program and the process of creating
Honors courses. Since there is no formal approval process of Honors
courses other than the director of the Honors Program, Larry Schuetz recommended
two options: 1) to streamline the Honors Council that consists
of two members per college and two students per college to become a workable
body or 2) to appoint a smaller body of the Honors Council with one
representative from each college to serve as an advisory board.
Chris Henige mentioned that the special course proposal ARTHIST 491/691,
Italy: A History in Art, should also be listed as GENED 291.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:55 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Leslie Meyer
