STANDARD CLASSIFICATION OF PERFORMANCE DATA

A. General Policy

As a general policy, performance data are classified into the above evaluation categories and are used according to the following standards:

    1. The standard classification is used for all performance reviews, that is, for reappointment, tenure and post tenure reviews, for salary and merit determinations, and for promotion decisions.
    2. It is not expected that all performance data items will be part of a performance portfolio or review, but all listed subjects are eligible for inclusion.
    3. Departments and units responsible for performance evaluations may add additional subjects of evaluation to an evaluation category, but may not remove an item from the standard classification.
    4. Departments and units responsible for performance evaluations may not move items among categories of the standard classification.
