Meeting of September 30, 2004

    PRESENT:  Bruce Eshelman, Philip Johns, Pilar Melero, Anthony Gulig, Marjorie Rhine, Jonathan Kane, David Cartwright,  Steve Sahyun,  Anne Hamilton, Meg Waraczynski, Paul Adogamhe, Tim Reutebuch,  Lauren Smith, Tom Schweigert, Debra Heiber and Larry Schuetz (Chair).
  1. The minutes of the September 16, 2004 meeting were approved as distributed.

  3. Announcements:

  4. The chair reminded the committee that Course Descriptions are limited to 50 words or less.  Also the Budget Impact statement must have some detail.
     
  5. Cartwright/Kane moved to approve the new Sociology course,SOCIOLGY 319 "Introduction to Environmental Sociology."  The motion passed unanimously.

  7. Waraczynski/Smith moved to approve the course revision, description change and title change for the Psychology course, PSYCH740 FROM Assessment I: Early Childhood  TO Assessment I: Academic Achievement and Progress Monitoring. The motion passed unanimously.

  9. Reutebuch/Kane moved to approve the prerequisite changes for the following courses:
    1. SOCWORK 372, "Social Work Practice II."
    2.  SOCWORK 473, "Social Work Practice III."
    The motion passed unanimously.
     
  10. Reutebuch/Kane moved to approve the change in the Human Services Foundations minor.  The motion passed unanimously.
