Currency of Bulletin Offerings

Undergraduate courses which have not been offered for the four calendar years immediately preceding the issuance of a new catalog shall be dropped from the list of approved courses.  The term "offered" is defined as:

  1. a course wherein there has been actual enrollment and wherein instruction has occurred: or
  2. a course which during that semester immediately preceding bulletin issuance has been scheduled for registration.

Exceptions to this undergraduate policy must be approved by the University Curriculum Committee.  Requests for exceptions must be accompanied by an updated course outline and bibliography.

Graduate courses which have not been offered for the four calendar years immediately preceding the issuance of a new catalog shall be dropped from the list of approved courses.  The term "offered" is defined as: (1) a course wherein there has been actual graduate enrollment and wherein instruction has occurred; or (2) a course which during the semester immediately preceding bulletin issuance has been scheduled for registration.  Exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Graduate Council.  Requests for exceptions must be accompanied by an updated course outline and bibliography.
