After commending the faculty for finding their way to the new meeting location, Richard Lee called the meeting to order at 2:20 p.m.Manuel Ossers moved to approve the minutes of the May 9, 2002, meeting.Will Drago seconded the motion.The motion carried.
Announcements
- John Stone distributed information regarding graduate student headcount and FTE. There has been a significant increase in both areas, due mostly to the increase in on-line MBA numbers. However, these numbers are still well short of the Chancellor’s goal of 8% of total FTE.
- John also distributed an overall demographic profile of all students admitted to degree programs over the last four years.If program coordinators would like a breakdown for their specific programs, they should contact the Graduate Office.

Tony Truog moved, seconded by Bambi Statz, to approve item A of the Information Only item on the agenda. The motion carried.Marshall Anderson then moved, seconded by Andrew Kapp, to approve items B-E of the Information Only items.The motion carried.Information only items included:

Item A of the Business Agenda items, a new course proposal from the Helath, Physical Education, Recreation and Coaching Department, was not considered as it was tabled at the October 4th, 2002, UCC meeting.
Richard Lee then asked the group their preference for approving items B-H on the agenda.Tony Truog moved to, collectively, approve items B-H, seconded by Marshall Anderson.The motion carried.These items included:
