Graduate Student Organization

An organization that will comprise of all the current students on campus and if possible past students. The idea is to get all Graduate students under one roof as a team. This student body will serve as a link between the university management and the student , highlighting their needs, problem faced if any by the students and changes re uired in the current curriculum. This organization will also serve as a network building step to the current students with lot of interaction between the students through, socials, parties, job fairs, extra curricular activities, workshop and fund raisers.

The Student organization will have at least two members from each college of Graduate studies in the boar of members and also a representative from the graduate administrative council who will participate in all the board meetings and give the feedback to the administrative council about the work of the organization. Graduate professors and other members are well come to participate and give their comments and feedback.

I also plan to have a website exclusively for the graduate students that will also serve as the volunteer mark ting team to the school of graduate studies and reference to the future employers. This team will interact with the future graduate students and give them the fe d back about the school, curriculum and any other detail that may arise. We will also have a team of volunteer students that will interact with the future students on one to one basis if required.

The positive impact it will ha e on the school will be that the marketability of school in attracting graduate students will increase tremendously. We can include details about this organization in the graduate catalog and brochures in order to have a wider impact. At the same time the school of graduate studies will get volunteer support from the students to cater the growing needs.
