The
University Faculty/Staff Academic Advising Award
The University Faculty Academic Advising Award was
initiated in the Fall of 2003 to recognize an outstanding faculty or staff
member for the academic advising of students in the four colleges.
Each College has developed a procedure for nominating
and selecting a faculty or staff member. The college forwards these
names to the committee made up of members from the academic advising council
and this committee selects the final individual for the University Faculty
Academic Advising Award.
The award winner is further nominated by the campus as its university representative to the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) advising awards program and will compete with other faculty nominees throughout the country.
